Scholarships

The Reverend Dr. Pauli Murray was extremely passionate about social justice. The life of Reverend Dr. Pauli Murray is a story of overcoming one obstacle after another in pursuit of higher education and equality for all. The goal of the Pauli Murray Foundation Scholarship is to help students overcome the financial obstacles associated with undergraduate or graduate school.

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be entering or currently enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program (in the United States) with a focus on the arts (including liberal arts and fine arts) or social justice. Applicants must have good academic standing by holding a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

HOW TO APPLY:

  1. Current resume including up-to-date contact information listing professional and academic experiences

  2. An official transcript

  3. Submit a well-written, 750-1,000-word essay explaining how Rev. Murray’s life and accomplishments touch you and motivate you towards your goals.

  4. High school seniors must provide proof of acceptance to the academic institution they will attend 

All entries must be entered by August 1, 2024.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Pauli Murray Foundation Board.
